Current projects
Dr John Hall-Edwards- The Birmingham History Society is working with Birmingham's Children's Hospital and other partners to erect a memorial and educational display to this pioneering doctor
Birmingham Medical Institute- The Birmingham History Society is working in partnership with this historical organisation
James and Lister Lea- This was an architectural firm set-up by two brothers from Birmingham in the 19th Century. They designed many iconic buildings in Birmingham including pubs and a Skin Hospital. The Birmingham History Society is promoting these buildings through events during Birmingham Heritage Week 2026

Birmingham History Society has an exciting programme of events. This includes the following: -
- Walking tours on medical history and church history
- An exploration of Old Square in Central Birmingham and its history over the centuries
- Heritage pub trail in Central Birmingham which celebrates the work of the firm James and Lister Lea
